Good Response infogiant. People really do need to stop regurgitating talking points and really think through what they say. Just because you are republican does not mean you should try to rationalize everything your candidate does that really doesn't make sense. Neither should you try to demonize the opponent just simply because hes' the opponent, and then make up irrational points as to why they're ideas are worse.

Sorry B, but the problem IS the oil companies. Nobody is talking about raising their taxes...Barack is talking about taking away the tax cuts and subsidies given to them at a time when they least need it.

You act like Barack is going to kill us with extra taxes which he has actually promised to cut for the middle class. If you're so worried about a government that spends needlessly and breaks the bank of taxpayer dollars, maybe you should wonder why the big corporations are getting the tax cuts, while the average American is footing the bill (with no tax cuts).

I realize this would mean you'd have to actually think about the issues instead of regurgitating the talking points. So, go ahead and tell me again why you getting a solar panel to power your home and pay for you to fuel your electric car is a bad idea. You prefer to polute? You prefer to use your tax dollars on building nuclear plants so you can then pay your money again for energy? Do you think energy is going to cost more if you have to dig a hole in the ground and have 10 miners die each year extracting coal and thousands more contract lung diseases...or that maybe letting the sun hit your roof like it does every day for free might be the more sensible option? You prefer that you continue to pay for the unneeded commodity of oil which ends up in terrorist supporting states (regardless of where its drilled)?

Thanks, but I've had enough of the Bush policies. It's time for a change, and an Obama tax cut for the people who need it.

It is biased and absolutly insane to remark that cnn is biasing republican. McCain compaired to Obama gets far less air time, and thats a proven and measured fact. Especially when it comes to a campaign, that airtime is like free advertisements, even if it is slightly negitave.
The fact of the matter is, that if you think Obama is going to make things all nice and rosy, think again. He's promising socialized healthcare, endorsing clean energy, which means the goverment will be absorbing about 3 cents every kilowatt hour, which is avaraging at 4 cents per kwh with normal energy, but at 7 cents per kwh for wind- the cheapest clean energy. Barack Obama will have all of us pay for this with gigantic taxes. Think 30 - 50% of your wage- thats what it is in Europe and other countries offering similar plans.

Raising taxes on big oil and large corperations wont hurt them, they'll just pass on the expense on to the middle class american. Trying to hurt large corperations and Oil companies will hurt the avarage american, and put people out of jobs.

The fact of the matter is, these handouts and promises Barack Obama makes will hurt america, and will not solve the problem.

Good perspective. Take a look at any pictures of Lake Mead ten years ago and then pictures today. The lake is down 50-100 feet, which will only increase with hotter and drier weather, and/or less snowpack in Colorado.

As someone who has recently moved from the Midwest to Nevada, I can honestly say global warming has already affected us. To the point the city of Las Vegas and the state of Nevada now has to consider pumping water in from other agencies. Monsoon season used to bring at least some flood rains but so far this year, the valley area has barely received any. Unfortunately, President Bush refuses to see the connection between ice, cold fronts, and rain. So those of us in the desert get to deal w/high water costs and the great things about owning a home i.e beautiful landscaping and trees because there is no water to support them.
