Obama nets 10 (additional) delegates from Iowa
Many of John Edwards delegates switch to Obama (remember he finished second in Iowa, Hillary third), and one of Hillary’s defected.
So, a quick recap: Hillary Wins Ohio (9) and Rhode Island (4) and picks up 13 delegates. Barack wins Vermont (3), Texas (5), Wyoming (2), and Mississippi (5) while also picking up 10 more delegates in Iowa. That’s plus 13 for Hillary, and plus 25 for Obama since his 11 state winning streak…and now he’s up by 170 elected delegates. I thought Bill said that Hillary had to win Ohio and Texas big to have a chance. I guess the Clinton’s aren’t always the best and have the truth flow from their lips.
Side note: If Hillary doesn’t like Caucuses because “working people” can’t show up to vote, then how did Edwards’ working class voters give him a second place finish? Answer: People have to really like you to want to participate in a caucus for you. Hillary still gets votes based on name recognition, but is still hated by many and has the highest negatives of anyone left in the race. Is it possible to win a majority in the national election when the majority hates you?
