Stand on My Shoulders and Tell Me What You See

Early Prediction for Texas

Early prediction on Texas based on nothing more than gut feel.  The polls show Hillary with a 10-20 point lead don’t accurately factor in the youth vote or the fact that white men will not vote for Hillary.  Texans in general have a very negative opinion of Hillary:

    Obama Clinton
  White men 12% 4%
  White women 10% 14%
  Black men 11% 2%
  Black women 11% 2%
  Hispanic men 5% 11%
  Hispanic women 5% 12%
    54% 45%

54% to 45% for Obama.  Come see me on March 4th for the outcome.  If Hispanics float to Obama, expect a blowout.

Win at All Costs. Why Hillary is Bad for America and Definitely More of the Same.

A day after Hillary tried to slam Barack Obama for using his friend’s argument for why inspiring people matters, Hillary’s campaign leaks that they will be going after pledged delegates before and during the convention.
You might be thinking…Mr. Giant, everyone has already gone over the superdelegate scenario and there’s no way in hell that any of these superdelegates are going to go against the will of the people and vote for the non-winner of the campaign for the democratic party…and to that I would agree.  However, I didn’t say superdelegates….I said pledged delegates.  You may have voted in your election and thought the delegates to your state became pledged, and that nothing would change after that.  That is where you would be wrong.  In what has become painfully apparent in a year of the close race, there are tons of backdoor ways to make sure the party doesn’t elect someone the party elders don’t want.  Unfortunately, the party elders are also running for office this year.

Hillary’s camp has made it clear that they will attempt to sway the delegates assigned to represent your vote to switch over to voting for her side.  Why would she need to do this you may ask?  Well, as usual, it all comes down to the numbers.  She is down by 138 pledged delegates before Hawaii and Wisconsin, and will at best be down only 148 (possibly 165) by the end of the day. If you factor in all of the remaining races and give Hillary a 60 to 40 win in all of the remaining races (except those where polls have already come out like Texas, North Carolina, and Oregon where Obama is slightly behind or ahead), she would still come up over 35 delegates short of winning pledged delegates. Furthermore, this is one GIANT assumption considering she has beaten Obama with a 20 pt spread only 2 times…he has done it to her 14 times.  You can bet they have already done the math and realize that stealing votes is the only chance they have left.

It is a sad day when politicians don’t even try to hide behind policies naming them the opposite of what they appear to do such as: No Child Left Behind - cutting money for education; The Patriot Act - stripping away your freedoms, or Reformer with Results - Bush’s 2000 campaign slogan to get rid of corruption  - pay no attention to Tom Delay or Jack Abramoff hiding behind the Lincoln Bedroom curtains, or my favorite…A Uniter Not a Divider - don’t you feel united?

When a Presidential Candidate’s campaign has the nerve to openly tell reporters that they’re going to try and steal your vote before they’re elected, imagine the money grab that will occur after.
